Divorce is a hurdle. Speaking to your lawyer should not be. While Delaware adopts the same rules for dame sex divorce as for other divorces, How they effect your Delaware same sex divorce may be different simply because you and your soon to be ex spouse had to deal with discrimination that effected your lives, your assets, your support networks, your relationship and yes, your divorce.
For example the very fact that you could not be a beneficiary on a pension plan before may effect how you and your soon to be ex spouse planned with these assets. What I recommend is you think about that now, but that you also take the time to meet the attorney who will be representing you so that you have a choice. Why? However, you should feel able to speak to whoever you choose to represent you as you need to know what is important and what is not and why,
Attorney differ in styles like all people. My style may suit you or another's might. I tend to be very up front and the reason is that I understand this is not where you wanted to be, but I want you to know where you are in a process so that you can make the best decisions for you sooner rather than later as your time is irreplaceable and you should lose not of it in getting advice to me so that you can make one of the most important decisions of your life,
